About Relay
The agency intelligence layer.
Relay is software that lives across every screen an insurance agent already uses. It does the busywork so they can do the human work. The hard parts are not the models. The hard parts are the system around the models. State, retries, evals, interfaces, trust.
We are early. The product is live in the wild and accelerating. Well-funded competitors are entering the space. We have the architectural advantage and a head start, and we are using it.
What you'll do
Ship AI products people use.
- Own meaningful surface area in our agent and automation stack from day one.
- Ship to production every week. Real users, real workloads, real consequences.
- Talk to customers directly. Their feedback shapes what you build.
- Make architecture calls. Pick the right model, framework, and trade-off for the job.
- Help define how we evaluate and trust AI systems in production: prompts, evals, retries, observability.
What we're looking for
You've shipped this before.
- You have shipped end-to-end AI products that real people use every day. Not a notebook. Not a demo.
- You have worked with multiple LLM stacks in production. You know the difference between a great prompt and a great system.
- You have built agents that actually do work, not chat about it. State, retries, evals, the whole loop.
- You can move from a vague problem to a shipped feature without a spec written for you.
- You write code that other engineers can read, extend, and trust.
Bonus points
Not required, but loud.
- Browser automation experience. Playwright, CDP, computer-use, anything in that family.
- Background in regulated or workflow-heavy industries: finance, healthcare, legal, ops.
- Experience with desktop or cross-platform application development.
- You have been an early hire at a startup and know what that looks like in practice.
