Automating around NowCerts.

Relay is not a NowCerts or Momentum integration, and it has no partnership with the vendor.

What NowCerts is

NowCerts is a cloud-based agency management system for independent P&C agencies. Founded in 2009, it merged and rebranded as Momentum in 2024, and the platform is now marketed as Momentum AMP. It runs the core of an agency in one place: policy management, billing, an integrated CRM, ACORD forms, certificate issuance, loss runs, endorsements, reporting, and automation. Momentum also ships its own AI tools that read data off ACORD forms and declaration pages. The AMS is the system of record: policies, clients, activity logs, and accounting live there.

How Relay fits

Relay is not a NowCerts or Momentum integration, and it has no partnership with the vendor. It does not sync your Momentum AMP database and does not read from or write to it. Relay works alongside the AMS on the work that happens before and around it: the inbox, the documents, the ACORD forms, and the carrier portals. Your team stays in NowCerts as the system of record and uses Relay to prepare the work that ends up recorded there.

That separation is deliberate. Momentum already automates a lot inside the AMS. Relay's job is the surrounding grind: reading the morning inbox, parsing loss runs and dec pages that land as email attachments, drafting the ACORD, and, in the AI Quoting Research Preview, running carrier portal workflows with human review.

The workflows, side by side

Inbox triage

Without

A CSR reads every carrier and client email, decides who owns it, and re-keys the relevant details into NowCerts activity notes.

With Relay

Ask Relay reads, tags, and assigns incoming mail and drafts responses for review. The person who owns the thread logs the outcome in NowCerts.

Document intake

Without

Dec pages, loss runs, and supplements arrive as email attachments, and someone types the contents into the client file.

With Relay

Document Parsing extracts the structured data from those PDFs so your team works from fields, not screenshots, when they update NowCerts. Momentum's own extraction tools stay available inside the AMS; Relay handles the documents while they are still sitting in the inbox.

ACORD preparation

Without

Producers or CSRs assemble ACORD 125/126/140 packets by hand from whatever is in the AMS and the inbox.

With Relay

ACORD Generation drafts the forms from the client record and source documents. A person reviews and sends, then files the packet in NowCerts.

Quoting

Without

Portal-hopping: the same risk keyed into each appointed carrier's portal, 15 to 20 minutes at a time.

With Relay

In the AI Quoting Research Preview, the agency selects supported carriers and Relay runs the configured portal workflows in parallel, returning results with source evidence for human review.

Common questions

Does Relay integrate with NowCerts or Momentum AMP directly?

No. Relay does not read from or write to NowCerts. It automates the surrounding work: email, documents, forms, and carrier portals. Your AMS remains the system of record, and there is no vendor partnership between Relay and Momentum.

Momentum already has AI that reads ACORD forms and dec pages. Why add Relay?

Momentum's tools work inside the AMS, on data you have already brought in. Relay works one step earlier, on the inbox and the carrier portals: it triages the mail, parses attachments before they are filed, drafts ACORDs, and runs portal quoting in the Research Preview. Relay never touches your Momentum database.

Do we have to leave NowCerts to use Relay?

No. Agencies keep their AMS. Relay is designed to remove the typing that happens before work gets recorded there.

NowCerts is a product of Momentum (formerly NowCerts). Relay is not affiliated with or endorsed by Momentum (formerly NowCerts).
