How to request loss runs from Nationwide.
Nationwide is a major US P&C carrier that sells personal and commercial lines through independent agents. Loss run requests show up most on commercial package, auto, and workers comp accounts at renewal, and Nationwide gives appointed agents self-serve loss reporting inside its Agent Center portal.

Appointed agents work Nationwide business in Agent Center. Nationwide's Agency Forward blog describes loss reporting under the Loss Activity link on the Admin & Reports tab, including its Enhanced Loss Analysis tool: digital self-serve reports, loss data viewable at the agency or account level, and loss history going back 10 years.

What to include in your request
- Named insured exactly as it appears on the policy
- Policy number(s) and the policy periods you need
- Years of history requested (three to five is standard)
- Your agency name and producer code if you are the agent of record
- A signed letter of authorization from the insured if you are not the agent of record

How long do carrier loss runs usually take?
Nationwide's Agency Forward blog notes that carriers are on average required to provide a loss run report within ten days of a request. Self-serve reports in Agent Center are faster for accounts you already service.
Can I get Nationwide loss runs if I am not the agent of record?
Not directly. Either the insured requests their own loss history, or you submit a signed letter of authorization from the insured with your request.
