How to request loss runs from West Bend.

West Bend Insurance Company, the Wisconsin mutual behind The Silver Lining brand, writes personal and commercial lines through more than 1,500 independent insurance agencies in 14 states, mostly across the Midwest. Loss run requests mostly come up on commercial accounts headed back to market.

Appointed agents log in at agent.mysilverlining.com, the agent portal linked from West Bend's contact page. Start there for policy documents and reports on accounts you service.

General guidance

If a report is not available self-serve for your line, ask your West Bend underwriter or the service contact listed in the portal.

What to include in your request

  • Named insured exactly as it appears on the policy
  • Policy number(s) and the policy periods you need
  • Years of history requested (three to five is standard)
  • Your agency name and producer code if you are the agent of record
  • A signed letter of authorization from the insured if you are not the agent of record

Common questions

Can I get loss runs by calling West Bend's claims number?

The 877-922-5246 line on West Bend's site is for reporting new claims, not pulling history. For loss run reports, work through the agent portal or your West Bend service contact.

Can I get loss runs from West Bend if I am not the agent of record?

Not directly. Either the insured requests their own claim history, or you submit a signed letter of authorization from the insured with your request.
