Loss Runs

How to request loss runs from Chubb.

Chubb is one of the largest commercial P&C writers in the US, distributing commercial and personal lines through appointed agents and brokers. Loss run requests come up most on package, commercial auto, workers comp, and specialty accounts being remarketed.

How to request

Agent portal

The Chubb Agent Portal includes a Business Loss Runs application. Appointed agents pull loss run reports showing the number of losses plus loss and payment details, on a single policy or an entire account, 24/7, with a three year or five year lookback. Chubb notes the same reports are available in real time through some agency management systems.

Carrier rep

General guidance

If the report you need is not available self-serve for your line, request it through your Chubb underwriting or servicing contact listed in the portal.

What to include in your request

  • Named insured exactly as it appears on the policy
  • Policy number(s) and the policy periods you need
  • Years of history requested (the portal tool offers three or five)
  • Your agency name and producer code if you are the agent of record
  • A signed letter of authorization from the insured if you are not the agent of record

Sources and verification

The Business Loss Runs tool, its three or five year lookback, and account-level pulls are verified against Chubb's published Agent Portal guide. Chubb does not publish a general loss-run request email or turnaround time, so none is listed here. Verified 2026-07-11.

Common questions

How many years of loss history can I pull from the Chubb Agent Portal?

Chubb's portal guide says the Business Loss Runs application lets you choose a three year or five year lookback, on an individual policy or an entire account, any time of day.

Can I get Chubb loss runs if I am not the agent of record?

Not self-serve. Either the insured requests their own loss history from Chubb, or you submit a signed letter of authorization from the insured along with your request.
