Loss Runs

How to request loss runs from Mercury Insurance.

Mercury Insurance writes personal auto and home plus business owners and business auto policies through independent agents, with a heavy concentration in California. Loss run requests most often come up on Mercury business owners and commercial auto accounts being remarketed.

How to request

Agent portal

Appointed agencies service Mercury business through the Mercury First Agency Service Center at mercuryfirst.com. It is login-gated, so pull policy documents and service requests there for accounts you write.

Phone

Mercury's public contact page lists (800) 503-3724 for customer service, billing, and claims. That is the channel where a named insured can ask for their claim history. Mercury does not publish a dedicated loss run line.

Carrier rep

General guidance

If you are the agent of record and the report is not self-serve in the portal, go through your Mercury underwriter or service rep.

What to include in your request

  • Named insured exactly as it appears on the policy
  • Policy number(s) and the policy periods you need
  • Years of history requested (three to five is standard)
  • Your agency name and producer code if you are the agent of record
  • A signed letter of authorization from the insured if you are not the agent of record

Sources and verification

The (800) 503-3724 customer service, billing, and claims line was verified on Mercury's public contact page. The Mercury First Agency Service Center login was reached but sits behind an agent sign-in, and Mercury publishes no public loss run instructions or turnaround time. Verified 2026-07-11.

Common questions

Can I get loss runs from Mercury if I am not the agent of record?

Not directly. Either the insured requests their own claim history through Mercury customer service, or you submit a signed letter of authorization from the insured with your request.

Does Mercury have an online loss run request form?

Not a public one. Agents of record work through the Mercury First Agency Service Center, and insureds go through customer service at the number on Mercury's contact page.
