Loss Runs
How to request loss runs from Progressive.
Progressive is one of the largest personal and commercial auto writers in the US, distributing through independent agents alongside its direct channel. Loss run requests most often come up on commercial auto accounts being remarketed.
How to request
Agent portal
Appointed agents work Progressive business through the ForAgentsOnly agent portal, which is the first place to pull policy documents and reports for accounts you service.
Carrier rep
General guidanceIf a report is not available self-serve for your line, request it through your Progressive account rep or the commercial lines service channel listed in the portal.
What to include in your request
- Named insured exactly as it appears on the policy
- Policy number(s) and the policy periods you need
- Years of history requested (three to five is standard)
- Your agency name and producer code if you are the agent of record
- A signed letter of authorization from the insured if you are not the agent of record
Sources and verification
Portal names and agent channels verified against Progressive's public agent sites. Progressive does not publish a public loss-run request email or turnaround time, so none is listed here. Verified 2026-07-11.
In Relay

Common questions
Can I get loss runs from Progressive if I am not the agent of record?
Not directly. Either the insured requests their own claim history, or you submit a signed letter of authorization from the insured with your request.
